Take Root, Grow, and Bear Fruit
The Ricci Catholic School Foundation held workshops and training sessions for teachers and employees from June 19 to June 21, 2023. The activities were held in the Matteo Ricci Hall, located on the fifth floor of Ricci 1 Catholic High School. The workshop and training revolved around an interesting theme derived from the core sentences of the Apostle Paul's letter to the Colossians 2:7 “Rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” The overarching theme derived from these sentences was to 'take root, grow, and bear fruit.' This theme was expected to instill a renewed spirit among all employees and teachers of the Ricci Catholic School Foundation, fostering a greater love for their roles and duties.
The three-day workshop and training featured esteemed speakers addressing various fascinating topics. These themes were closely related to the spirit of service in the workplace and the enhancement of the Ricci School's quality. This aligned with the vision of the Ricci School, which aimed to provide education that cultivated individuals with exceptional character, intelligence, culture, and faith. Furthermore, this initiative supported one of the Ricci School's missions: the continuous improvement of education by fostering creative and enjoyable teaching and learning processes. This specialized training program for teachers and employees further enriched the quality of education.
An interesting part worth highlighting was Mr. Ajisuksmo's hypothesis, the chairman of the Ricci Foundation, which he presented to all participants. The hypothesis was “after the workshop, return to normal”. Mr. Aji hoped all participants would oppose it. Indirectly, this expectation implied that all participants were encouraged to exhibit improved service after completing the workshop and training. This positive change in service will directly contribute to the enhancement of the quality of Ricci Catholic School.
